The Cantabile Chorale
Founded in 1985 and under the direction of Peter Willsher since 1992, the Cantabile Chorale performs two major choral works per year. Past performances include the German Requiem by Brahms, the Missa Solemnis and the Ninth Symphony by Beethoven, the St. Matthew and St. John Passions and Mass in B minor by J.S. Bach and many others.The Cantabile Chorale is committed to offering emerging soloists the opportunity to perform major choral works and provides a positive and challenging environment for amateur singers and musicians to develop their musical abilities.The Conductor
| Peter
Willsher was educated in the UK at Trinity College Of Music,
where he obtained two degrees, one in clarinet performance and the
other a pedagogical degree with a major in piano. He has done post
graduate studies in conducting with Maestro Bernard Keeffe in London,
England and with Maestro Franco Ferrara in Siena, Italy. His conducting experience in England included the directorships of two choirs and a madrigal group, as well as youth ensembles. |
